Hello! I’m happy to meet you.
Thanks for dropping by!
My name is Donabel, but I usually go by sqlbelle in social media.
I am a data geek. I work with data, and I teach data, and I am here to share practical tips, lessons that can help you elevate your data skills.
While it was an unexpected journey that led me to working in the data field , it was one of the best detours.
I teach Tableau and SQL
Want to get better working with data using Tableau and SQL? I can help you.
Here are some comments people have left for my YouTube video tutorials on Tableau and SQL
I started with SQL …
I started my career as a SQL developer, and was very active in the SQL community in the past.
SQL belle aka sqlbelle
I love working with SQL Server. It’s my first “tech” love. Once I started working with data, it’s ins and outs, I was hooked.
I used to be quite active in the SQL Server space. In the early days of twitter, when I used to tweet about SQL Server, I put SQL and my nickname “belle” together, hence the name sqlbelle.
… and stumbled upon Tableau
Lately I am more active and visible in the Tableau #datafam community.
sqlbelle in a Tableau world
My first encounter with Tableau was when I had to take a Tableau course with Dan Murray from Interworks - check out my first awesome Tableau dashboard.
For me it was just another tech class I had to take. But Dan was so passionate about Tableau, and he convinced me to go to the Tableau conference that year. He said he knows it will change my life. And it did.
Currently, I still use Tableau at work. I’ve also taught it at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and online through my YouTube channel.
